North Carolina Musuem of Art

The North Carolina Museum of Art is located in Raleigh near the intersection of Wade Avenue and Blue Ridge Road.  The museum houses a large permanent collection, including American, European, Egyptian, and modern pieces.  In addition to the permanent collection, the museum hosts special exhibitions.  Surrounding the two buildings is a 164-acre park with hiking trails through a variety of ecosystems dotted with works of art, showcasing the intersection of nature and art.

Rembrandt in America:

30 October 2011 to 22 January 2012

The Rembrandt in America exhibition focused on the collections of the Dutch master's works in the United States.  The exhibit looked at how the attribution of many of his works his changed over the years.
