Day Trip to Wilmington

It's raining today when I woke up, but yesterday it was beautiful and sunny, and Sandy and I went to Wilmington for the day.  We spent the morning relaxing on Wrightsville Beach, soaking up sun.  In the afternoon, we went to the Cape Fear Serpentarium and saw the snakes and crocodiles being fed.  The keepers fed a bushmaster, king cobra, Gaboon viper, saltwater crocodile, Siamese crocodile, and Burmese python.  After the feeding, we went to Carolina Beach State Park to look for carnivorous plants.  We couldn't find any fly traps but we did find a pitcher plant.  We walked around the fly trap trail, then down the swamp trail to the river and back up along the sugar loaf trail.  Then it was time for dinner and head back to Raleigh.
