Harris Lake

Last evening after work, Sandy and I went for a hike at Harris Lake and walked the Peninsula Trail.  It was our first time at this park and was a nice walk.  The trail is about 5 miles and follows the edge of a peninsula that juts out into Harris Lake.  Along the northwest shore of the peninsula, we had a nice view of the Shearon-Harris nuclear power plant.  After we got home, we realized that we had brought home some unwelcome guests - chiggers!  We plucked them off and hopefully got them all.  Harris Lake is a nice park and has a nice trial, but beware of the chiggers.
